Thursday, January 17
We arrived at school at 6:47 am. Thankfully, we made it on time.
In SMA, today is Kamis Wage. I learned in our BIPA Class that Kamis means “Thursday”. On this day, both teachers and students wear traditional Javanese clothes. I am wearing Lurik and Jarik while Angelica is wearing Kebaya and Jarik. SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan does this to inculcate to students and teachers the importance of their heritage and culture as Javanese people.
